Why do christian protestant or evangelicals omit this verse from their bibles or they say it's a false verse?

Well, different people believe different things. Personally, I think it was a play on words--"Peter" means rock (I know, Protestants like to say "pebble", but it's the same thing). Take that as you will. I've never heard of Protestants omitting this verse--they just interpret it differently.
