Why dont some women put the father on childsupport?

After my divorce, I did get court ordered child support however I made the mistake of agreeing to sign an agreement stating I would agree to half of what I am supposed to get. He said he would help out with other stuff....well that hasnt happened...at this point..Im looking into my options..
