Why do the Brits call us Americans boring when it's the other way around?

Tea & crumpets, etc. are pretty old cliches. Right now most Brits are adjusting to their new roles as 2nd Cl Citizens of Europe's First Islamic Republic. As they're under fateful stress, cut them some slack.
