Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz, 800MHz FSB, 6MB Cache). Does this mean it is 2.5GHz x2?

Is the spec 2.5GHz supposed to be multiplied by 2 because it is a 'duo' or is that the total speed of the processor as one unit? {a bit misleading/confusing if you ask me}
