How does this sound to you? parents what would you do if you got this from your 13 year old daughter?

Well - for me - it wouldn't be about the money... at least, not in the long run. A dog, any animal, is a lifetime responsibility. A parent has to take into account the age of the kid asking for this... and know that once that kid becomes an adult, the dog will likely stay in the parents care and they will be responsible for it... You lose a lot of freedom when you have animals to take care of.
