Does the religious affiliation of a Supreme Court justice matter?

I don't think it matters.. it's not easy to become a Supreme Court Judge and I don't think they would let their religions get in the way with their rulings.. it's never really been an issue- as far as the abortion decision.. though I am pro choice, and not religious at all, I completely agree with their decision- I do think there should be limits to abortion, early term abortions I have no problem with.. late term abortions I am more uneasy about
